HESTIA Erasmus+ project

Introduction

Hestia is an Erasmus+ funded project which responds to the evolving needs of the construction industry by integrating green practices and digital competencies into training programs.

The project aims to reduce carbon emissions by promoting sustainable materials such as green concrete and endorsing circular economy models. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies like Building Information Modeling and Digital Twins, Hestia aligns with EU’s vision of a greener and more digital economy.

Outcomes

Best practices

HESTIA explores and promotes the most effective green concrete solutions and sustainable construction techniques. Collaboration with industry partners and circular economy associations plays a key role in making eco-friendly materials more accessible. At the same time, integrating BIM technology helps optimize resource efficiency and improve sustainability across the sector.

Upskilling

Trainers, building professionals, and entrepreneurs gain the necessary skills to implement sustainable practices through study visits, training workshops, and dedicated educational content. With a focus on digital tools and green materials, HESTIA ensures that professionals stay up to date with industry advancements and sustainability requirements.

Green thinking

Raising awareness and providing hands-on experience in sustainable construction are central to HESTIA’s mission. The project promotes a sustainability-first mindset, equipping students and professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to adopt more responsible and environmentally friendly building practices.

Partners

The Hestia project brings together 7 organisations (Vocation schools, training centers, businesses and business associations) from Estonia, Finland, France, Italy and Portugal.

A good heterogeneus mix to bring in knowledge and competence from different backgrounds.
